Saddam Playing Cards
New York after 9/11 was a very strange place to visit. Not only was there a sense of unity, but a misplaced sense of patriotism. Bin Laden was the clear enemy, but the powers that be insisted that Iraq was a threat. In the midst of this debacle the government handed out playing cards with the most wanted people in Iraq printed on them. It didn’t take long for the cards to be available on the streets of New York. This was one of the displays that I came across on that trip.
